Actions Speak Louder

Everyone can talk, but few actually “act”.  You see it all the time in the social media world.  EVERYBODY has something to say.  But how many people are actually making moves with their words?  It’s so easy to talk the talk, but you can’t be afraid to walk the walk.

We’ve all done it…myself included.  I’m actually a person that loves to give advice (as you can see with this site).  But there are times where I personally may not have engaged in something to the point where I can speak by experience.  When it comes to me, depending on the topic, I use my logic and common sense to figure if my advice is sound, realistic, and could be effective.  A lot of people want to make moves, but they are moving for all the wrong reasons.  They tend to think about only themselves, and not about helping others in the process of achieving their goals.

If you have a goal to achieve and you feel like you’re “almost there”, chances are you have already thought out the path to reach that goal 1000 times in your head.  You understand the potential risks, along with the rewards.  In your mind, it’s your passion that will drive you to achieve this goal, and I think passion is the number 1 trait to have.  Of course, goals can be achieved in a number of ways, but if the passion isn’t there, your drive isn’t where it could be.  I think a lot of people have goals because they think it the “cool” thing to do.  But those that can’t see themselves doing anything else but that particular goal…those are the ones that have the greatest chance of becoming successful

It’s the passion that makes you step towards that goal.  Sometimes that first step can be blind faith, fueled by your passion…and sometimes, that’s all you need to get started.

And probably the worst words you can speak are what I call the “I’m about to” language.  Anytime you’re constantly “about to” do something, you probably have not even gotten started with it yet.  If you’re serious about achieving a goal, immediately kill that “I’m about to” language.  If you need to speak it, then speak it into existence.  Instead of “I’m about to”, say “I WILL reach this goal”…”I WILL do this today”…”I WILL be a success”.  When you are telling yourself it will happen, as opposed to saying you’re “about” to make it happen, you’re halfway over the hump to achieve that success.

What are some other ways you can take more action towards your goals?  Leave it in the comments!
